We are thrilled to announce that Mrs. Emily Kennedy will be the new Associate Principal at Rivers Edge Elementary School for the 2025-2026 school year, pending Board approval. Mrs. Kennedy began her career as a classroom teacher in Greene County Public Schools and then at Ridge Elementary School in Henrico County Public Schools. Mrs. Kennedy transitioned into leadership as the Resource Teacher at Baker Elementary School. Emily then supported the Lakeside Elementary School community as Associate Principal. Emily was the Assistant Principal at South Anna Elementary School and then at Elmont Elementary School in Hanover County Public Schools.
Our new Principal, Mrs. Freundt, and Mrs. Kennedy will begin their new roles on July 1st. The Rivers Edge ES team looks forward to providing you with many opportunities to connect with this team well before the start of the new school year.
